In addition to the quaint old town, in Cottanello we can admire:

  • St. Andrew’s Church, built in the 13th century, and      then completely rebuilt in the 19th century after it was destroyed by the      French troops;
  • St. Nicholas Church, built in the 17th century;      houses and many works of local artists;
  • the abandoned village of Castiglione Vecchio, an      ancient village inhabited since ancient times, which was abandoned during      the Second World War;
  • the Hermitage of San Cataldo, built over 1,000 years      ago- a small church with frescoes from the 10th century;      
  • Domus Romana, found by accident a few years ago      presenting several pieces of mosaic decoration and some housing      facilities.

Cottanello is 50 km away from Locanda Frullo and can be reached by car in 1 hour.
