Farfa Abbey:
The historical Abbey of Farfa can be found in the heart
of the ancient Sabina, at the foot of Mount Acuziano, in an atmosphere of
mystic silence that surrounds the charming village.
The village of Farfa
appears to the visitor as a group of houses lined along the main street and the
other streets grouped around the monastery.

The Abbey of Santa Maria di Farfa is one of the most
important monuments of the European Middle Ages. It is a monastery of the
Benedictine Congregation of Monte Cassino, which takes its name from the river
that flows nearby and gave the name to the village adjacent to the abbey.
