Santa Vittoria is placed on an artificial terrace at the
foot of Colle Forum, in Monteleone Sabino.
The present church is mostly built in
11th century Romanesque style with major works attributable largely to the
Orsini family, and local landowners in the second half of the 15th century.
There is a beautiful grassy square in front of the building, bordered by stone
and embellished pieces found at the site and the surrounding area such as
column drums, lintels, three funerary lions, inscriptions, etc.
You may wish to
visit the catacombs due to their historical and archaeological importance.
The
church of Santa Vittoria is 13 km away and can be reached by car in 15 minutes.
